A conversation with my craving

Featured Replies

Craving: Hey, what's the harm of smoking one cigarette?

Me: Would that make you feel better?

Craving: Yes, oh please, just one.

Me: Let me see, I can go to the store around the corner and pick up a pack right now.

Craving: Now you're talking, do you need any help finding your wallet and keys?

Me: Wait a minute, why are you in such a hurry?

Craving: I'm hungry and you promised to make me feel better.

Me: When did I make a promise to you?

Craving: Are you calling me a liar?

Me: If the shoe fits.

Craving: I'm sorry, I may have stretched the truth a little.

Me: I'll say, now what were we talking about?

Craving: I think you were going to the store, right?

Me: Right, I was going to the store to buy YOU a pack of cigarettes so YOU would feel better.

Craving: Thank you, I'd like a pack of Camel Filters and a new lighter.

Me: And what's in it for ME?

Craving: That's not my problem, can we go now?

Me: Sorry, we have been talking about this far too long and I have better things to do than make you happy so go f**k yourself!

Craving: I will not be addressed in that tone!

Me: Sorry, but that's not my problem.

I envy you.

The only difference between The TAC and The Sarge is time.

I don't have those conversations anymore! It's more like

Craving: I want...(rude interruption by me)   "shut up"

Just as a comment, when I hit six months, right after, I had a flood of cravings, very hard. I thought WTF? This went on for about a month. Not sure if it was the seasons changing or what but it was hard.  I felt a craving for cigs/sugar/whoknows that I really had to put down several times a day.  Now this is over.

I don't have those conversations anymore! It's more like

Craving: I want...(rude interruption by me)   "shut up"

This is me!

Craving: "Hey Lea..."

Me: "Zip it!"
