Lets not talk about the QSMB anymore please

Featured Replies

Let's say Good-bye and not talk about it anymore!

We seem to be more interesting to them...then the other way around. I wish every one over there all the Best from the bottom of my heart....let's all stay smoke free and we all win!

Reading that Harper is trying to get the password to this forum was just too much. It makes me feel so sorry for her and everybody over there. The members probably don't even know, it's so sad and so disturbing on so many levels. Is it worth talking about it...No!

Smoking kills people....there are enough smokers out there who will need our help..today..tomorrow and further down the road.

There are so many support boards online for all the smokers and not enough to help everybody! People die every day because they smoked.

You guys saved my life...or at least prolonged it....I would like to pay it forward!

Be well QSMB! Take care of your members

Good bye

No thanks.

Ignoring problems won't make them go away ... and they'll be a problem for quite a loooooong time.

Besides that - it's quite entertaining to poke fun at Management over there.

It brings me down...does that make sense..We left over there to have peace and now we start to talk about them all the time....it's like I might as well have stayed.

I agree with you Sarge....it can be entertaining -at times- but not always it's all a little bit too fresh for me, I am not as safe in my quit as you are.

I don't look at the QSMB as a problem at all! I left for a reason!

It brings me down...

So don't participate.

It's the same reason the self-destruct is happening over there.  If you don't like something, don't participate. If it gets bad enough, put folks on "ignore" or "foe" or whatever.

Let the discussion be what it may, and if you don't like it, leave it alone.

The fact that folks wanted to be controlling and push discussion the way they wanted it ... it's at the ROOT CAUSE of the entire problem.

Don't start that shit over here.

We don't need it.

Nobody does.

Not worth time to talk bad about admin but still a few people over there I like.

You are right...I should have ignored a message from the Admin that started with "Update please read" and I shouldn't read anything here in this private board...my bad! Thanks!

Sigh ...

What you shouldn't have done, is requested what folks do and do not talk about.

EDIT: That's the bullshit that caused, is still causing, and will forever be the source of many a melt-down - here, there, and just about anywhere in the real world or online.

I do not understand.  If someone does not like something ...what do they over there? keep scrolling...leave it behind.  Sure it said to read it but thats fine to read doesnt mean people should have to stop talking about it.  I had some very interesting PMs with people over there and "run-ins" today.... That place was a big part of my quit for 5 months... If something is posted about it I probably will not pretend it does not exist.  I believe in live and let live.  I see stuff all day that I'm like "eh...thats annoying why are they saying that" but I never think about telling them that I dont want them to talk about whatever that is anymore.  If I dont like it I keep on movin along my happy little way.  if I have something to say about it ...its never "I dont want to see this here" I'll say my peace and go along.

we are all so unique.  we were all affected in different ways for different lengths of time by that place.  We are all so full of our own "stuff" I see no need to suppress anyone else's unique and wonderful "stuff" especially when it is not inflammatory or threatening to the well being of another being.

Love to you and everyone else.

I'm gonna mention the QSB just this one time, then I won't say anything more about it.  That place was where I found the people and the strength to start my quit journey... some of the most wonderful people you would ever want to meet were over there.  We were real... we were BFF's, we were total enemies, we loved, we would fight major battles against each other... but if someone was in trouble of losing their quit, it didn't matter if you hated that person, you were F'ing there to help them in their time of need.  We didn't have this censorship crap that they have now, and it's the main reason I left (and I will NOT be going back)... after they banned Beth and the Sarge (I know there's others but I'm sorry, I don't know who they are), it left a really bad taste in my mouth.

The QSB was my home for around 3 years, then our Skipper died and most of the oldies left (including me for a while)... at the same time that Skipper died, Fred sold the QSB to new people, and the new people proved to me over these past two years that they truly know "jack chit" about addiction.  The place I used to call home is now nothing but a sissy Barney board, and it really makes me sad.  I left and I'm not going back unless to "peek" on occasion... I hope that the people over there will get the help that I got almost 5 years ago, but damn, it's doubtful when censorship and warnings and bans come into play...

I also want to mention that there are a few of you at this forum that I had arguments with... you know what?  One of my very best friends from the QSB is Stephanie, and we hated each other's guts when I came there... but we were able to fight it out and be human, and as I said, she's one of my best friends in this world now, she is REAL!  I say this because I want all of you to know that even though a few of us might have had issues with each other, I'm looking forward to the future, and I can 100% honestly say that I hold ZERO grudge against anyone here... I was the cause of a lot of crap, I'm done with that stuff now.

So hello new home! :)
