The storm seems to be weakening but I'm still following it since Raleigh is in its path.  It was just downgraded to a tropical storm as I posted this.  Sometimes, though, strong tropical storms tend to be much bigger flood threats.  And, of course, these storms can always get stronger again.

 

Isaias is an interesting name, though.  I've been amused by meteorologists pronouncing it several different ways during the same weather segment.

 

Local news network WRAL does some pretty good hurricane coverage.

Recon data indicates that #Isaias still has max winds of 60-70 mph, though central pressure has risen a bit, a sign of weakening. However, the hostile wind shear is relaxing a bit, which may allow some re-strengthening of Isaias before landfall near the SC/NC border late tonight.
