  1. Hi All. Thanks for checking in with me yesterday minnie mouse. Not sure where yesterday went as kept myself busy with house work, been so hot all summer so haven't done any. Not had one puff so still on correct path
  2. Well here i am again. Was doing so well last year then fell back into smoking again and just haven't been able to quit again. I have now decided enough is enough and have climbed aboard the quit train again. As from 5pm I have smoked last cigarette Wish me luck
  3. Thankyou everybody.
  4. Still smoke frr but who ever said it gets easier is kidding me. It seems to be getting harder everyday. Grumpy is being kind lol Don't know if its just missing smoking or cravings but it would be so easy so just say sod it but i wont
  5. 68 days today. Seems to have been hard going since a came off the patches 2 weeks ago, not exactly cravings but keep thinking it would be nice to have a smoke. Boiled sweets are my friend at moment. Have a sweet instead of a cancer stick. Went away for the weekend last week, made a nice change not to have to stand outside of hotel smoking. Sat outside of the pub in the sun and the amount of smokers and people vaping I could really smell it. Loads of different smells from the vapes
  6. Hi Everybody. Still on this train. 56 days. Been off the patches for a week. Can't say health is any better at moment. I have had raised blood pressure for years which i have taken medication for and kept it down. The past 2 weeks it has decided to raise to dangerous levels and have nearly ended up in hospital. Medication has been increased so lets hope it comes back under control. Has anybody else had this problem?
  7. Evening everyonr. Day 34 for me. Not going to kid myself thats its been easy because its not. Good days and bad days.
  8. Hi Everone Just at the end of day 23. Not been to bad, Had a few cravings, well I wouldnt say cravings as it wasnt really a smoke I wanted was all very strange so just stuck a boiled sweet in mouth and carried on. Have been sitting in the garden in our nice sunny weather and I really noticed all the differnt smells. Jumped on the scales and jumped off quickly again, didnt like what they said lol.
  9. Hi Everybody hope you are having a good Easter. Day 16 for me and not doing to bad, odd fancy but not many craves at moment. Saturday was a hard day. Didn't really feel right, very tired and achy . No craves but just generally felt crap. Just under £200 saved Onwards and upwards.
  10. Evening all hope you have all had a good day. Well its nearly the end of day 12 for me. Its been a funny old day. Have had a nagging headache all day. Morning seems to be a bad time when I miss that first cig but banish the thought away. I actually got on our exercise bike this morning for the first time in months, last time i used it was puffing seconds after i got on it this time wasnt as breathless, admitedly was only on it for approx 5 mins but was a start. Onwards and upwards. If I have posted this under wrong heading maybe somebody can point me to right place.
  11. Thanks all. Still chugging along and off to do some more reading.
  12. Hi. Decided to quit smoking again and this has to be the last time, I don't want to have to go through it again. I am on day 10 of no smoking and using patches. I have smoked for more years than I can remember and have tried many times to stop. I did stop for quite a while but went to visit a friend one evening and pinched a smoke from her and before I knew it was back smoking again. I had developed a smokers cough which was getting worse and was wheezing as well. The last straw was I suddenly got an ache/under my left breast in my ribcage and was worried it was lung cancer but think it was my bra pushing into me. Glad to say the ache/pain has gone after swapping into non underwire bra. cough has also cleared. This quit has been the worst ever. Headaches, heartburn and muscle aches just to name a few. I have downloaded the NHS APP which helps and have been reading on here.
