I suppose an example of how time effects your smoking thinking is this: I went to a concert recently and ordered interval drinks. At the interval we picked up the drinks I walked into the bar. My friend said I’m going for a fag. The good thing for me ? .... it didn’t even occur to me to go outside for a cigarette!!

Hi All Just to clarify. We all use this site as a tool in our quits and it is as equally important to me now as it was when I signed up 6 months ago. I use the site in my way and my monthly post is a good target for me. I have admiration for everyone that gives time and effort to help others but I’m sorry that is just not me. So anyway ....half a year !!! X

2 months 1 day. On holiday in Crete with all the "I only smoke on holiday" smokers. Complete gits if you ask me. Still I don't smoke even on holiday so they can all bugger off lol.

3 weeks 1 day now. Doing ok. Started to get some shortness of breath and sleep apnea, from what I remember this is to do with my body being used to a balance of CO2 and oxygen whilst smoking. Now I've quit the CO2 is now reduced and my body isn't used to that imbalance am I right? Like all the other things that occur when quitting it'll pass. It's a new dawn.

I'm fine Doreen but thanks for the support. I've been here before with a previous 3 year quit so I think it is helping me knowing what to expect. I know there are some tough times ahead but I also know I can overcome them and that things do get better also as with my last quit my teeth really hurt (a bit weird I know lol ) but this has stopped now so all is good.
