June 21, 20215 yr Where you see yourself a year from now , may be a key to success . Do you see yourself as an Ex smoker ? What would that look like , feel like ? What freedoms would you have that you haven't had because of smoking ? Envision those. See that person in the mirror every morning and don't walk away and forget who you are . You deserve to be quit , to have that rebirth and new beginning . Quitting smoking took years off my life and smoking takes years off our lives . There are two sides to every story and every conflict . Smoking has two sides too . What side will you believe ? Will you only hear one side ? The cigarette comes disguised. Freedom does not . Discern the two when a crave overwhelms you . Are you listening to addiction or to your heart . What's the goal here ? What is smoking doing for you ? Write the pros and cons . A suggestion : Choose a day once a month and write the pros and cons of smoking for six months . Post them on your mirror . Mark the changes you've noted in yourself every month for the first six months . If you want , do it a year . I'm sure some of the things you thought were good reasons to keep smoking will be moved to the other side . If you still feel like smoking makes your life better I will be quite surprised . Come back and tell me . Give yourself that . You owe it to yourself to experience a taste of freedom and once you do you will want more . You can fight amongst the thorns of addiction that want to suck you in then spit you out or you can be at peace with yourself in a smoke free world . Look in in the mirror and see that beautiful person you are inside and out . Edited June 21, 20215 yr by Abby
