  1. Hello everyone and thank you for remembering me. I'm happy to report - I've maintained my quit. It's been a little trying recently. What with hot flashes ( I'm 50), insomnia, having an almost-wedding and a weight-gain of 12lbs! Actually to be honest, I'm pleased with the weight gain because the gauntness has left my face and my skin's glowing again - yay! (Checked the BMI, still within range so "Yay to having curves again!") I hope you're all well, maintaining your quit, but if not - try, try and try again!!
  2. Still here Nancy, Just haven't logged on. Pleased to report I'm still a fresh-smelling, financially-literate individual !! Hope you're well?
  3. There really are some wonderful people out there! Thank you so much, all of you. Really. How can one not pay such kindness forward.
  4. 3 packs. Each time I approached that counter I made sure I left at least $21 poorer!
  5. Thank you all for the welcoming messages and encouraging words. It's great to be here. Thank You.
  6. Been a smoker since the age of 18. I'm 50 now. In bygone days I coulda done the math without a thought and told you how many years that is. Not now uh-uh. I blame the leasing of my brain (and life!) to Mr Malboro Menthol 100's. Bought them in threes even though I was a 20-cig-a-day habit. Woke up on this particular Sunday morning (rainy, windy, cold) and realized I'd forgotten to buy them the previous night. Of course that warranted a leap out of bed, check cash situation, bring the credit card along, slip into sweats and high tail it to gas station. This particular Sunday I realized I didn't want to. Instead,I wanted to roll over, pull the covers over my head and stay in the warmth of my snug bed. And that's what I did. And that became my quit day. Just like that. Hi Everyone :)
