Some of these might be repeats but just like this morning I get so much done with no smoke breaks. One because I'm not taking smoke breaks into I don't leave for work early so I can get some smoking in. I don't have to worry about taking body spray with me or if I have gum or if I stink. I can make lunch plans and not worry about when to find time to smoke. I need a better breakfast because I feel healthier and want to eat healthier. I drink less coffee because of course that went with smoking. Just a few thoughts I've had this morning there are more. But I try to focus on these things because alternately I want to rip my own head off fighting the urge to smoke.

You are doing great, Parsley, and please don't rip your head off.  Others have tried it and it did not help.  Good job cutting back on the coffee, caffeine has a much greater effect when you are a non-smoker.

And another day in the books! Worst stress day since quitting...life stuff. So...I told me "life stuff, smoking again will just ADD stress!" Honestly....hard to even convince myself....

What did I do? Dddrrruuugggg myself past four gas stations..went to grocery store and bought six dollars worth of raspberries!

Oh crap..or not..no time to buy cigs....! Back to the office! This is so hard!!!

WORTH IT AS I SIT HERE TONIGHT...NO SMOKES!

Funny thing is those hard days are often followed by an easy run for a day or two. You gain ground through the tough craves because you believe even more, that you can do it. This foot, that foot some days my friend but it's all good. x

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
