What do you really enjoy since quitting

Recommended Posts

Not waking up in the morning with the first thought, just as my eyes popped open, "I wanna cig"...

that took a few weeks...

but I do love raspberries! or just the taste of fresh, good food,

so Grace who is Devil Doll? And what is your opinion of Sarge! Hahahahah lol .

i can say that my life improved greatly once i abandoned ship for this site.

yesterday we had snow in may and a friend pretty much acted like the self-absorbed

narcissist that she truly is,

and today i got three calls from godaddy starting at 7:50 this morning to confirm my identity.

i guess they know who i am now.

ok, so its either comfort food of a small piece of health food store chocolate cake

or a 'nourish bowl' with brocooli cabbage bron rice, carrots kohlrabi and snap peas with sesame sriracha sauce and

310 calories...

about the same in terms of calories and I can have both!

haha

Time savings and not having to miss out on entertainment/events while taking "breaks"...

how about miss out on life to go off and smoke, to hide away as a 'secret smoker'

what a joke. and to get those looks from people who cared.

well one thing i really love is how i don't smell like a smoker no more!

I can run... a lot. ;)

So great to see you. You look fabulous!!   Hope school and kiddos are doing well.

I will have to agree with others that the best thing is not missing out on so much either planning my smokes, or smoking them.

DD is my spirit animal.

I'm pretty sure Sarge pissed me off during one of my failed quit attempts but only because he was right and I was a nicocrack addicted junkie. Turns out he was right...it IS Easy Peasy. haha

I love knowing I smell better! I can actually smell all of my yummy skin, hair and body products. Who knew the scent actually lasted all day? :)

I love having more energy! There's more to life than coming home and sitting on the porch reading and smoking. Well, I still love the reading and the porch! :)

I love waking up and feeling good! I like not feeling bad in the morning because I know yesterday was one more day that I smoked.

I love not spending money on cigarettes and the accompanying latte! Now I spend it on raw juices and smoothies. Infinitely better.

I love not being an addict to something that made me feel bad and was making me age prematurely!

Sarge will infuriate and piss you off to no end in the beginning of a quit but at some point we all realize that he is right!

I love the no smelling smoke on me...my clothes ..hair etc. As above not planning any time to allow for smoking...spending my money on treats and not cigs. Love all the extra time not smoking gives me....not dousing in body spray before going in the office. And these things and others keep me from smoking!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
