Barely hanging in there

this will pass!

don't do it.  Urge to smoke passes when you are a non smoker...but smokers have this urge every 20 minutes.  It's a never ending cycle.  YOU are breaking that cycle by NOT smoking that one little puff.  It's that simple.

hang in there!!

Do anything but smoke!  If the game is causing you to think you want to smoke...quit the game.  Leave for home.  Rant, rave, cry, scream, sing, dance...do anything but smoke!! You will hate yourself if you smoke, and we will celebrate your victory tomorrow when you get through this!

Thanks everyone. I've managed through it.

See?  See that?  Remember this next time!  Build on it.  Each triumph over the mind games the addiction will play will bring you pride and joy and relief and determination and relief and relief and relief.  Do not succumb to the addict.  NOPE.

Good job Indigo

Indigo, you just hang in there. If you have had a strong urge to smoke it means you are winning this. If you think of your craving's as being a toddler , kicking their legs and waving there arms about. As a parent you would ignore it, and before long your child will realise that that way of asking will not work.

You are doing so well, keep posting of you need to.

I missed this post when it was relevant, but want to give a shout out to all the guys/gals who responded, and "talked you down"

That's how it works here.... When you struggle, shout out to us, and someone will be by your side to help you thought it!!

And a big high 5 to you for listening to the advice givin and holding on through the that rough patch!

There will be other hurdles, but each on you get through, makes the next hurdle a little smaller... Pretty soon they are nothing more than a bump in your path that you go right past without hardly noticing.

Congrats and onward to on other day!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
