Basically my dads situation, because he would smoke so much he got 2 Pneumonia's but I never knew about it because he was working abroad and no one told me, but even thought I got to know it some years later I can't imagine if it was me going through that situation and put my kids going through it. For a simple thing I could have lost him and I don't want to be that guy.

When diagnosed as having a stroke (while at work!!)...that did it for me! Lucky I quit when I did because one year later I was having open-heart surgery for a CABGx3 (triple bypass)!😯

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
