Do You Really Need To Want To Quit More Than You Want To Smoke?

An often quoted comment is that many people fail to quit or to stay off of smoking because they wanted to smoke more than they wanted to quit. Video discusses how this is not necessarily the reason why people fail in their quits. It is not that they don’t want to quit bad enough, but rather that they don’t understand what they need to do to quit and stay off and what their real options are regarding quitting and smoking.

Relapses Are Not Determined By How You Quit Smoking

How you quit smoking and how you relapse are two independent issues. It is a mistake to simply attribute the reason you relapsed to the method that you initially used to quit.

Smokers DON'T Have To Quit Multiple Times Before They Will Succeed

Smokers are constantly told that they have to quit multiple times before they are likely to succeed. This video explains that while the majority of smokers do have many failed attempts before pulling off a successful quit, it is not inevitable that this will occur. There is one thing that any smoker can do to make their current quit the one that lasts forever.

Note: Original one day title of this video was "Smokers have to quit multiple times before they will succeed." Reason being, it was recorded and released on April 1. It is a message that could be interpreted as an April Fool's joke, yet unfortunately it is a title that is believed by most professionals in the tobacco control field.

Learning How To Comfortably Smoke Just After Meals

Sometimes after quitting a former smoker will think to him or herself that he or she will somehow be able to learn to just smoke after meals. This may be for the purpose of weight control or sometimes just a desire to smoke the cigarettes he or she found most pleasurable on any given day. This video will give such people a practical method of accomplishing the goal of just smoking comfortably after meals.
