Never forget how far

You've come all the times

you pushed on even when

you felt you couldn't

all the mornings you got

out of bed no matter

how. hard it was all the times

you wanted to give up but

fought through another day

never forget the strength you've

gained along the way

If you can't run away to a cabin

in the woods right now start small

make a cup of tea and find a sunset to watch

turn off your phone and read a book in the bath

go for a drive and blast some great music

fight for moments of peace in the midst of the crazy

you can do this

Linda, having a huge influx of emotion, makes sense to me at this time of year.  I know I need to have abreakdown and it get it out but thanks to antidpressants I am a walking door knob.  Can't muster up anger, hate, sadness, grief.  I think I need a nice cleansing bottle of booze.  A good hours long crying screaming pity party, so that is my plan

@Kris Sorry you are struggling. This time of the year can be difficult

for some.I try to focus on the good memories. Also I try and think of things

I have to be grateful for. I'm sure your grandson would love to come and spend

some time with grandma and get spoiled. Makes some good memories for him!!!

@KrisThe biggest part of recovery for me is the "rigorous honesty." The fact that you feel like crap and are owning it is the medicine. I write letters I never send. It helps me to see what is inside waiting to be healed. I used to do all kinds of burning ceremonies as a way to physically surrender that which has past.

Be kind to yourself. Sending strength and love to you.

Thanks, let's face it sometime we girls just need a good old fashioned cry, somehow it brings some kind of peace.  @Linda, as luck would have it my son called to see if he and my grandson could spend the night next saturday.  My DIL is having a slumber party with her girlfriends. I hope I can take the boys out for an evening at a giant arcade and some bowling.  Then have a dinner out.  Yes, Kris, there is a Santa Claus!

I still would like to visit that cabin, in the woods, can I have it overlook the lake? Can I bring the dogs for long walks? Can I have it prestocked with food and drink? Can there be a hot tub and a huge bed as soft as clouds?  If I am going to have a fantasy, I want to make sure I don't forget aything.

Thanks for my pretend memories!

@Kris Glad your son and grandson are coming!! That will be

a nice evening. Yes I agree about a good cry sometimes. I'm not

feeling to great today myself. Your welcome ,you can imagine that

cabin anytime! Of course it has to be on the lake lol

@Linda. I am sorry to hear you are having a bad day. Things are not great here just mental stuff that comes with the seaason and living alone.  I know you get it.  It can get hard to fill up the day around the holidays.  The plan was to go out and get get a small christmas tree...I have not had one up in years.  Somehow I could not get dressed and go out.  I have just tried to be busy here at home, cooking for the week.  Playing chase with the dogs in the yard still in my PJs.  Hopefully we will all sleep well tonight.  I am not going to lie, it would be comforting to smoke but I know that is not a part of my life anymore, but I do wish I had not run out of wine. LOL Thanks for being here!

@Kris I do understand!!  I usually always decorate for Christmas

but for some reason I'm not into it at all this year. I think with all the

health issues that have cropped up this year have me pretty discouraged.

I know it will pass but I too am finding it hard dealing with them being alone.

And I too think about smoking but that is not going to happen. Thank you for

being here also and understanding. We will get there, with a new year in the future

I do have wine in my fridge lol

You either get bitter or

you get better its that simple

You either take what has been

dealt to you and allow it to make

you a better person or allow it to

tear you down  the choice does not

belong to fate it belongs to you

Tomorrow night I pack the truck and hook up the trailer, bright and early I am on the road.  5 hours later I will be pulling into Parkfield, Ca, once there the first thing I do is break out my day pack with My license and tags and my rifle.   I could catch some walking down the ridge beside where I set up camp, it has been a while since anyone has been up there those Hogs will be taking the short cuts thru the house lot to get to the meadows across the road.  1/2 an hour to get the trailer up and my hunting stuff organized in it,  check the property out.

I be getting back to you guys the 2nd of Jan 2022.

No one will ever fully be able

to understand the internal

battles you had to endure just

to heal just to grow just to make

it here today be proud of the way

you fought to save yourself be proud of the

way you survived
