Thought for the day

Life is too short

grudges are a waste of happiness

love when you can

apologize when you should

and let go of what you can't change

love deeply and forgive quickly

life is too short to be unhappy

Weird shit is going to happen

and worrying about it isn't

going to change that

try not to let that freak you out

cling to the things that will keep

you in the present in this moment

turn the music up walk barefoot

on the sand look up at the stars

dance in the kitchen you have right

now and that's all you need

But the most beautiful

things I life are not just things

memories and pictures

and smiles and laughter

Music is a piece of art

that goes in the ears

straight to the heart

Sometimes music is the

only thing that gets

your mind off of

everything  else

I've always like Hunter S. Thompson's quote about music as fuel.

"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of fuel.  Sentimental people call it inspiration, but what they really mean is fuel.  I have always needed fuel.  I am a serious consumer.  On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty miles more if you have the right music very loud on the radio.

Today

Let go sweet soul

Let go of words to small for your courage

Let go of thoughts to little for your dreams

Let go of anger or frustration of

comparison of discontent

Grab on to bravery

Seek love seek kindness seek joy

Dance today sing today be free today

Live your day fully

Trust me when I say

One day its going to hit you

that you woke up happy that

You're smiling for no reason

that your hands aren't shaking

anymore one day you're going

to remember what it was like

to be you a year ago or three

years or even a week ago

and going to be so glad that

you fought  you're going to

so glad that you kept going

Hope is powerful

hope sees opportunities

even in challenge

hope fills the soul

even when it feels empty

hope spreads kindness

even when we feel so

far apart hope creates

momentum hope fuels change

Fight for hope it matters

Figure every day you wake up is a blessing

Figure every day you make it home to sleep is a blessing

Figure the older you get the bigger the blessing is

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
