Welcome K.Smooth glad you have decided to take this journey you will find it so worth while.  All good things have been said above, drink lots of cold water or juice, stick close to this forum (as said), and though it seems kind of hokey go to the NOPE page daily and pledge your NOPE for the day -- it really helped me a lot and kept me grounded and in the right direction to make my quit successful and to keep it  to this day!!!!!

Good Morning All,

Day 1 down of NOT smoking. Thank you all for your kind words and support as I continue this journey. 😁

That first day is a huge deal.  You are doing great, k.smooth.

Quitting smoking can be a rocky road to travel -- rocky, but not impassable. Everyone here cheering you on and helping you over the rough spots has been where you are, and kept on going.

:)

It's such a worthwhile journey. Holding good thoughts for your success!

What are some helpful tips

Learn to Embrace The Suck and ... well ... as weird as it sounds: Enjoy TheSuck™.
'Cause there's quite a lot of Suckage in your future, right?

Do this and it's all Easy Peasy Lemon Breezy.

Hello Everyone,

I’m just checking in and I know it’s been awhile but I’m 22 days smoke free! Wow! I can’t believe it. Mints have been my best friend but I honestly don’t get cravings anymore and I just think I made this a habit now 😂 Hope you all had a great holiday and are looking forward to this bright new year like I am! Wishing you all well in 2021!!! Thanks again for all of your support on this journey. Happy Holidays! - K.Smooth 😃

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
