Veggie

Well obviously vegetables, as in "come on eat ya bloody vegies of ya not gettin a super dooper fer sweets"

But also an insult for someone who is stupid.

"Stop being a vegie"...usually after you say or do something pretty bloody stupid.

Oh my god, I just got me a fizzchick message in from @Fab one of me fellow Aussies.....he wants me to go a proxy for him for W....

"Wake up Australia, Tasmania's floating away"....basically pay attention dickhead.

Wedgie

Not to be confused with weegie lol a wedgie -

A wedgie is the act of forcibly pulling a person's underwear upwards from the back. The act is often performed as a school prankor a form of bullying.

Wedgies are commonly featured in popular works, either as a form of low comedy or as a behaviour representative of bullying. In such works, briefs are usually the type of underpants that are worn by the victim

Ya dancer -

Ya dancer" or "Ya wee dancer" is of Scottish origin. This expression means - Excellent! Great! Fantastic! Etc etc etc. For a reference, you can check the film Trainspotting where Sickboy uses the expression perfectly.

Scotland got England in the World Cup qualifier draw, ya dancer!

Buckie - it's a tonic wine all the wee neds drink. Gotta love urban dictionary-

A vile alcoholic beverage much loved by alkies and children, especially in Scotland. Probably the Scottish equivalent of American drinkThunderbird, or else the Scottish equivalent of meths. Known to the monks who make it as Buckfast Tonic Wine. Any resemblance to what the French call wine is unlikely to be found.

Gie us a chug o yer buckie, pal!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
