Greetings NOPErs... yes I know, I am late. Yes I know it is Tuesday where I live.... but guess what its still Monday for all the Northies so I can still post.... and today, the 8th October is Octopus Day... or should I say sea spider day. So interesting facts about Octopuses (or is it Octopie?) ...they are survivours... they eve predate the dinosaurs with Octopus fossils being dated at older than 300,000 years. Plus they are smart.... they have about 500 million neurons located in their brains and arms which lets them bypass their instincts and not only learn lessons but solve problems. So they can range in size from the Australian blue ring octopus that full grown is smaller than the palm of your hand (oh and yes its Australian so it can kill you) to the Giant Pacific Octopus which can weigh more than 600 pounds. So how to celebrate?? ... me I opened a jar of baby octoupuses and had a yummy snack... yummo!

Aaaawwww @notsmokinjo.. the baby octopuses... how could you...???

Well I BBQed them, then I stubbed one with my fork, opened my mouth, popped it in, pulled it off the fork, closed my mouth, gave it some chews and it was eaten.... or did you mean why?...Cos Greek style bbq baby octopuses are scrumptious... yum yum yum... and much less chewy than mummy or daddy octopuses.

Don't they look yummy... squiz of lemon juice an Bob's ya uncle....
