Thank you,! You know the weirdest part is there was nothing going on last night that was stressful or anything else. In fact this week I've had a couple very stressful situations that I whizzed right through and was so proud of myself. I guess the only thing that matters is I got through it it doesn't matter why it happened.

You made it through, congrats.  During the third week you will experience triggers that seem to come out of no where.  This can be frustrating since it is hard to pinpoint the strength behind the craves.  I went through them -- I just remembered that first week and did not want to go through again and gotten to the three week point so I plowed through it.  It was easier than the first week but still frustrating.  The positive out of it was that I realized that I could conquer the craves at this point and I could see the positives to quitting.  You are doing the right thing by coming here and posting, it shows your resolve.  Well Done!!!!

We can delay our response to stressful situations until we are quite removed from them.

Then, afterwards feeling proud and calm , get hit broadside and feel the impact.

You are wrenching yourself away from Nicotine, this is a very big deal.

Take really good care of yourself.

These are not just words to slough off,

you must nurture and reward yourself, especially now.

Your brain is learning a whole new way of living, a whole new set of responses will be ignited.

Have you read this ?

I am so happy, @Parsley that you reached out.

Don't forget we are all on your side, for true.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
