Good morning felow NOPErs from all corners of the globe. There are quite a few 'special' days today but I want to focus on Australia where we are having Daffodil Day for the Cancer Council. Besides being pretty and bright and sunny the daffodil is one of the hardiest flowers around, it doesn't matter how harsh or cruel the winter may be, every spring the sunny daffodils raise their face from the darkness and rise again. This is why the cancer council uses it as its emblem... and its fundraising.... despite what nature might throw at it the daffodil survives. So whatever date Daffodil Day is in your neck of the woods give a couple of pennies because the work, research and support the Cancer Council provides around the world is amazing.

On the quit front, we are kinda like daffodils too. We need to go through the bitter darkness and cold of winter that is the early stage of a quit but once we get through the winter and the nastiness the nicodemon throws our way if we keep strong and keep our NOPE we will pevail and just like a daffodil, we can push our way through and raise our faces to the sun in freedom of the nicodemon and life that is smoke free.

NOPE ... each day and every day but most especially on Daffodil Day!

Topic of the Day:  It should be a public holiday because..... reasons we should have public holidays.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
