Ok so 2 hours into play and there has been none because of rain delay... but the edge of the rain band is just passing Melbourne now.... might get another 30mins depending on how slippery the field is and how much lightening they got... but then its going to be a few hours before we get any more.... I think we can rule out hanging on.... I think this is a done deal....and the indian' will win...

Aussies lost to India... for only the 3rd time ever at the G and because the best we can hope for now is a 2/2 draw in the 4 game series they retain the cup... for the first time ever on Australian soil.... it was a sad day for Aussie cricket but a good one for the Indians... Tammy will be happy.

Hey Jo, I indeed am happy. This team is aggressive and that is a good thing for a change. Hoping for an enthralling final face off, best of luck. May the best team win.

Oh Man. You're going way too easy on @notsmokinjo LOL!

Can I just say... Kholi...not a fan... He has a bad attitude.... Bumrah though... He is brilliant... My favourite Indian cricketer post Tendulkar.

But did expect more ribbing... 3rd test win at the G and the first time you guys have retained the trophy on Aussie soil. Huge day for Indian cricket.

OH Reci... its not looking good for the Aussies, their backs were to the wall yesterday morning and lets just say instead of coming out fighting the basically capitulated... so if there is a miracle they may draw this test but India batting was frickin amazing... they declared at 7/622... yes that's right in two days of play australia could not get them all out and they scored 622 runs... we are currently 0/27... yay... but the thing is if we don't win this test the Indians win the series, if we win this test the Indians draw the series, which means because they hold the Border-Gavaskar Trophy because they had it at the start of the series... it was our job to win it back....but drawing the series is bad... loosing the series.... well it frickin sucks... and you know what India frickin outplayed us... SO man of the series has to be Pujara... nearly got a double centuary.

And the weather helped the Aussies save face.

But India takes the trophy home.

As rightly predicted by you Jo, Pujara is man of the series and match.

Let the preening and strutting begin!!!

G’day

Everyone likes to think diferent but when it comes down to it... it’s not just how well you bat it’s how well you bowl.

India came with 3 bowlers that could consistently bowl over 140 km. A bit of moisture in the pitch. The results speak for themselves.

Good on you India.... well played!

Aussies... learn how ya lesson like a big boy. There’s always tomorrow....
