I did a lot of reading at whyquit.com to understand nicotine and the quit process.  An educated quit is a strong quit.  All of us can help you with questions or with worries.  Try reading an hour per day.  We'll walk with you.

I am so lucky to have everyone here- holding my hand and walking with me and you have all been where I am at now.

Thank you !

Did you REALLY think we were gonna let you get away ?????

You're never going to be a happy smoker again. You have no where to go but to finally give in. You'll be so glad you did.

I'm looking forward to August 29th !!!!

okay I will start with August 29th and I have my reasons for the date being so far away.. or I should say my excuses

So that is 4 weeks from now I still did not finish the Alan Carr book so that is going to be top on my list I just need some time to myself to do this.

Hey Marti you are a pushy one.... :)

Yep!!  Not even ashamed about it ;)

However I'm intrigued...what reasons/excuses??  I think a planned date is a good thing though!!

So I have made a decision- I am going to try Chantix again- the first time I tried it was over 4 years ago and my job was an hour away from home so I would leave at 7:30 AM and get home between 6:30 and 7:00 PM I was very tired and taking the Chantix I was exhausted.  I see that people here have quit with this and I need help so off to the doctors I will go.  This time I will actually give

it a chance - the last time I did not even continue with it for 1 week.

I will let you know when I have my prescription.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
