Seems this guy was just a nut-bar. No indication of any Political Terror stuff going on for this one.

I can't believe the cop took this guy down without a shot even fired after the guy put his hand in his pocket and told the cop he had a gun. Cop said "I don't care!" and kept his gun trained on him telling him to get on the ground. Guy pulled out a cell phone and made like he was aiming it at the cop. Cop still didn't shoot him - wow! Can't say I would have had that kind of restraint.

The accused was in court this morning for official charges. Haven't heard what they are yet but suspect multiple 1st degree murder charges. I just hope they don't let him off on an NCR basis (Not Criminally Responsible due to mental defect). I can't see how they would on this one but, it does happen often here in Canada. They're pretty soft on crime when it comes to the courts here.

All the EMS, Cops, fire people and even random people at the scene did an amazing job calmly trying to give aid to those injured and dying on the street. Big props to all those who were there giving assistance :89_clap:

So sad because it was just so random. Wrong place, wrong time and you were just mowed down :39_angry:

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
