  1. "Why is it when the sun blacks out on a Monday afternoon it's an 'amazing natural phenomenon,' but when I do, it's a 'problem'"
  2. The internet has porn?
  3. Smear on sour cream? Wait that's enchiladas..
  4. My dermatologist today said, 'your hair's gotten really long,' and I said, 'yeah and I'm getting old, let's do this peel.'
  5. I've evened it out to 3-3.5 miles most days. I need to find more time to run, I'm just not getting any younger.
  6. Well done! It just keeps getting easier and easier.
  7. I finally broke down and bought a camelback this year. With ice in there, the water is so cold it hurts. Highly recommend if you love to run outside and hate treadmill. I ran on treadmill today :-( Fit radio app has some great coaching features that mix things up.
  8. The only way I could get myself over the terrifying prospect of quitting was telling myself that I could chew the gum as long as I liked. Right, wrong, or otherwise it gave me the courage to quit. I was a much different person then. I think it was about 3 months later that I quit the gum with ZERO withdrawals. 4+ years later, I don't know who that girl was, that closet smoker that put the addiction and hiding it before all else. Do what you must to quit. Vaping is so similar to smoking though, I would use extreme caution.
  9. That's one of my fave books. Atwood's "The Edible Woman" is also amazing.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
