I'm sorry that you are having a hard time. There were quite a few rough points in my quit.
I know that the last thing that you want to hear is "hold on, it passes" or "hold on, it gets better" but it really does. There are going to be periods during this journey where you are stopped in your tracks by cravings, it could be just one or a whole day of it. It can happen at a point where you thought that craving and thoughts should be over. The important thing to remember is that it does pass and a time does come where you don't even think about it, at all.

There are going to be times that drag by. Getting to where you are is huge because the first month is the most challenging month.

I've been bawling since I found out, my heart hurts. I will miss her and our conversations so much. She was such a great friend.

This quote got me through so many hard times. Especially in the beginning. When you are wading through the first month grasping on to your quit for dear life just think of how far you have come. Think of how hard it was to get there. There is no such thing as "just one day" because that day was a series of battles fought, and battles won.

You are doing a fantastic job Indigo.

Completely normal. I remember sleeping a lot the first couple of weeks. It helped with the withdrawal. Energy will come back in time. :) Congratulations on 4 days!

I am always happy to read you and would love to be a part of your second line! Congratulations on your glorious second year!!

You can definitely cut them but make sure that you have some really good medical tape handy to help them to stick. :D

How are you feeling now Jen? Is the strength of patch that you are using too strong?

Ever... (just for today) ... take the pledge every day. Take it every hour for the first three days. Ride the wave out of the addiction. You can do this. We are all here for you. Congratulations on taking the leap.

Oh Jackie. I know that you are walking through the muck right now and that you have so much on your plate. I wish that I could help and take some of it away. I am super proud of you. You are handling all of what you are going through and giving that bastard nicotine the salute.
I know that you can do this because you are strong and amazing!

I still think of it too when I get pissed... but... as you saw on fb I came in close contact with a smoker yesterday. She stunk and I mean freakin' stunk. Every she coughed you heard that rattle, holy sh*t it was just horrible. It was such a turnoff and I feel awful that it once was me who stunk that way but couldn't smell myself.
Screw what judgmental people think, they are no better than you, and you shouldn't be made to feel bad about your life choices.

So sorry for your loss. Losing them is the hardest part.
The Rainbow Bridge
By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.
For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.
No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.
They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back,
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.
For just at that instant, their eyes have met;
Together again, both person and pet.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.
The sadness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart.
They embrace with a love that will last forever,
And then, side-by-side, they cross over… together.

Thank goodness that she had you there to care for and to know enough to properly help her through the healing process. She is very blessed. ;)

Wow Chrysalis you handled the whole situation beautifully and I hope that you are proud of yourself.
My thoughts are still with your mother for a full and speedy recovery.

Excellent blog post. You have got this just remember that it is only going to get easier and you only have to go through this crap once! I will say this you need to remember the bad times during it, keep it in your mind, and I tell this this because if or when you have a moment you need to REMIND yourself how bad it was and that you never want to go through it again. :D
You are making me super proud!

All of that is great news! :) Thank you for the update.

Gotta crawl before you can walk! You have got this, every thing that you mentioned is common and it passes. It sucks for now but it will subside.
