  1. Are you feeling any better today Jillar. Hope your friend us ok x Lying on the sofa surrounded my all sorts of treaty food and deciding what film to watch. Love Sundays
  2. @reciprocity some people's pods last a day and some less. If my figures are right then I'm not surprised it's such a problem in America. They use salts which means if you used the same level of nicotine in a standard e-liquid your head would blow off. By adding the salts it makes it smooth as silk when you puff it.
  3. Thanks Reci - that makes perfect sense.
  4. I'm going with 1 is the lie. Your love of sport makes me think 2 is true. You're definitely someone who would fight to make people's lives better and you love coffee so makes me think 3 is true.
  5. The nicotine content in these is so high I would be scared of them even when I was a smoker. They say each pod is equal to a packet of cigarettes but I worked it out and it can't possibly be. I'm rubbish at maths so if I've got this wrong I apologise in advance. My cigarette of choice had 0.5mg nicotine per cigarette. A pack of 20 would surely contain 10mg nicotine A 50mg Juul pod must then be equal to 100 cigarettes That is pretty frightening if I have got the figures right. In the UK 20mg pods are the maximum allowed but that is still the equivalent of 40 of my old cigarettes. I keep hearing about people who use these and say I can only take 3/4 puffs or I get a nicotine rush and feel unwell. I'm not surprised if my working out above is right.
  6. Everything I've read says the health risks were highlighted in the fifties which is obviously after the war so I'm still confused. I have family who fought in both wars and none of them smoke thankfully. Not everyone took it up despite getting them free. Smoking kills but so did the wars they were in. Neither smoking or dying fighting should have been allowed.
  7. 2 was definitely the lie so over to Jo.

  9. Did they know it was a lie at that time?
  10. Trying not to Google clavicle pain. Have had this for a few days and the pain is stopping me sleeping tonight.
  11. 9 months is awesome. Lovely to hear you are enjoying your quit
  12. How did your Day 1 go @freeatlast
  13. I suppose the reality of life is that millions of people still smoke. I think by removing smoking/drinking/drugs it would also remove that reality of life. We are quitters so we view that scene differently to a lot of other people. Never smokers and smokers probably never even viewed it the way you did - in fact they probably never thought about it at all. I once blew a quit because someone was smoking in a programme. How pathetic is that lol. Hope things are ok with you. Sounds like a perfect evening to me. Only thing I would add is some cheese and onion crisps
  14. Wow Reci - that boy was a hero. So glad he was there. 1 - I did a sky dive last year 2 - everyone on this forum will probably have seen my son regularly on TV 3 - I attend protests about fox hunting regularly
  15. Not sure why that's funny lol
  16. This made me cry with laughter. That is EXACTLY how I've walked around the last two months lol.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
