Congratulations on 64 days Joe, I'm glad your quit is going so well. I was still struggling pretty bad at 64 days so you're doing great!

Welcome aboard Loamie, you are making a great decision by taking back your life from this horrible addiction. I think a support group will really help you succeed this time. I'm convinced I wouldn't have succeeded without it! Stick close, read all you can about our addiction, education is key in understanding this.
Also check out our other areas of the forum. They're great places to go to take your mind off smoking and cigarettes, especially in the early months of your quit. You CAN do this. You did it for 5 months before so you know a little bit about what to expect. And we will be here as much as you need/want to offer our support

Her last visit to the forums was Tuesday at 3:29.
Unusual for her to be this long without a no show?
She does go MIA from time to time so hopefully she's just taking a forum break and will check in soon...

There is nothing of any importance in my mind right now , maybe that is why .
I beg to differ sunshine, just think of your wife and kid. They're pretty important right?

They're at the top of the page sunshine. Just click on the tab marked ticker. If you're using the mobile site click on the three bars on the upper right and you'll see ticker.

Don't be silly sunshine, you've gotten past so much. This too shall pass. But yes, at 5 months quit I still had plenty of craves. The good news is that the craves you get this far along will be much easier to get past than in the beginning

Great question @AndrewAsh, quitters flu is real in that some recovery symptoms we have mimic flu like symptoms. The headache, coughing, foggy feeling. But it also is cold and flu season so it could be that you're just coming down with a cold. You'll be pleasantly surprised to find that the colds you do get won't last as long as they did when you smoked. I also found that I got far less colds after I quit.
I hope you feel better soon
