  1. @Robbie, when I was newly quit I seemed obsessed with it too. I thought of it all day long, woke up thinking about it, went through all the phases of grief from losing it... And there's a lot more of us who were the same so you're totally normal. We're getting "clean" from our addiction so you feeling that way is totally normal and won't last forever
  2. Very nice @Boo, I would guess you can pretty much go anywhere you want with it
  3. What kind of inhaler opah? You have to remember that we smoked for a lot of years so it could be that we have triggers for the rest of our lives. The difference is that with time quit they are just small annoyances and easily pushed away
  4. Congratulations on three months quit Ace, that's awesome!
  5. Congratulations @Robbie on getting through the hardest month of them all You are doing great and I hope celebrate your accomplishment in some way special
  6. You mean the kicking back and enjoying the fruits of your labor alternative?
  7. Sorry you had a rough night last night @Robbie, and yes it will get better, it just takes time. You're doing great so try to reward yourself with something just for you. And if your depression gets too hard to handle please call your Dr and let them know. A lot of times even just a temporary med until your body readjusted itself helps
  8. Congratulations @Robbie, you should be super proud of yourself
  9. Yes @Dianne it will and does get so much better You are doing great and just remember that everything you're going through is normal and temporary as your body and mind detox
  10. Hopefully they can just make it part of the flu vaccine I get every year....
  11. I just read that Moderna is doing trials for a booster shot because of the new variants
  12. Glad you're listening to your body @PeachFuzz and giving it what it needs (sugar). It's hard at work repairing the damage smoking caused so if it needs fluids, drink. Sweets, have a candy, etc...
  13. 9. Use it for fire starter
  14. You guys are doing great @Dianne and @Gus! I feel the same as you do about this forum. There's something comforting about being around others who know what you're going through and can help you through the rough days
  15. Awesome @PeachFuzz, Congratulations on beginning your forever quit. Don't forget to update your quit date and maybe even make yourself a ticker for your signature?
  16. 7. Decoupage a table with them
  17. You shouldn't use that as a determining factor of whether someone stayed quit or not Jeff. I've joined several forums, not smoking related, this past year of being homebound and after perusing them decided they weren't for me for one reason or another. As far as people disappearing here, you will find if you stay long enough that a good majority do end up returning when they are finally ready to quit for good. And some people just find that a forum isn't the right fit for them and they rather do it without the support and that's ok too
  18. I go with the three weeks to break a habit but I could see how ingrained ones could last longer, especially with smoking...
  19. 5. Frame them and hang them on the wall
  20. 3. Buy it for a keepsake of your travels

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
