  2. Huge congrats to you today Darcy! A half year quit; 6 months, is an exciting milestone for sure. You conquered the worst of things. Now it's about honing that quit to fit your your still developing smoke free lifestyle. Be Proud! Be excited and celebrate this occasion by treating yourself to something a little special (and maybe expensive too? :) )

I found the registry where the last Chick Win was recorded.

WOW! Didn't realize it had been THAT long ago 🤯

  4. Quit symptoms such as you describe can last longer or shorter periods of time from person to person. Your lungs have a lot of clearing out to do. If it continues for some time, see your Doc, as Jillar suggested. Doesn't hurt to rule out other issues that may need medical attention.

Welcome to Quit Train by the way! Congrats on a great start to your quit :)

Very sound advice..ty reciprocity and I do intend on making this forum part of my recovery/quit. I have already learnt so much from the wisdom and knowledge here, its allowed me to see my addiction from a different angle and other areas of my life also. I occured to me yesterday that for over 50 years I've had a stimulant or a sedative inside my body...its quite interesting to find out how my body now copes without any sort of crutch...so far so good anyway 🙂

Your body will be going through a lot of changes in the coming days and weeks. All of them for the good in the end. I think you'll be quite pleased with the end result. Drink lots of water in the early days of your quit. It will help flush toxins from your body :)

Sweating like a pig, it's freakin hot out and almost 6:00 pm already 😓

The age old saying "sweating like a pig" is in reality quite impossible because (Fun Fact) pigs actually have no sweat glands, which is why they prefer to roll around in muddy water because muddy water evaporates more slowly than clean water and that keeps them cooler, longer 🤓

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
