  2. G’day We have been left a dog shaped hole in our hearts since the passing of our dog. Amazing enough we have been adopted by a magpie we call Maggie. Not the prettiest of his tribe in fact she’s got only a couple of feathers on his tail. Probably a male caused his very black and white not the grey of the females or so I’ve been told. i recon he must be a male as follows my wife in the garden “caroling” or singing to her. Since we have been adopted the other magpies are a lot more friendly as well and not scared at all.

  12. You're right about that but it won't always be this hard, I promise. Hang close, read up on our addiction. It may shed some light on why we are so heavily addicted. We have a ton of great posts as well as videos. We also have a great Social section if you just want to give your mind something else to do besides the constant thought of nicotine.

  13. Yea it sure can be tough @Kms1968. I reminded myself of that each time I had a bad crave so I wouldn't relapse and have to start all over. One month is great so be super proud of yourself

  14. We had blue jays in our tree this year...they are lucky they are so pretty because they are the nosiest birds I have ever heard!! We don't have magpie's here, we have crows but from what I understand they are very intelligent.

  17. Wow, this seems so long ago. How cool someone thinks something I wrote helps! As I roll up on 6 years , I think it is, I hope it helps anyone feeling a little weak on their commitment to their selves to quit. You are quitting for you. Be proud for you. Be strong for you. And know I am no special snowflake. Anyone can quit. When it seems tough, and no one is tooting your horn, grab your balloons and and march in your own marching band with your head held high. I'm 50 pounds lighter, much happier and healthier! I never say good luck. Luck has nothing to do with it, IMO. It's all you. Your party, your parade. Just sayin Gon

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
