  3. 2 months today the cravings are nowhere near as strong or frequent. Also I had quite a stressful family issue this week and albeit a fag came into my mind I soon dismissed it which is a good thing I reckon.

  7. Hello everyone , Thanks for the thread jillar !!!! I was going to post a thread about this , but there it was already ... Yes , i am still smoke free and it feels good . Cigarettes are out of my life and i don't even like the smell of it these days when anyone smokes near me . Going through a tough time here because of the Covid 19 issues . Other than that everything is good .

  13. Hi Kate! Random thoughts are also part of the old habit. I remember asking random people if they have an extra smoke if they happen to be smoking and I happen to not have any in me, especially when I was much younger. I get random thoughts and sometimes little craves, but they come and go within seconds and don't really worry me. If I start to dwell, I remind myself what it would mean to smoke another 10,000 cigarettes and that pits an end to it. Nearly 8 months in, the thoughts are getting fewer and fewer, and farther in between. Don't worry.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
