  5. I expect the scholarship offers to start coming in any day now. The little gal is a smart one. I was holding her the other night and watching "Jeopardy." She was trying really hard to talk...like she knew every answer. She didn't phrase her answers in the form of a question, but she's only seven weeks old so we'll give her a pass on that.

  7. Thanks DD. Just did my second donation in the last week. 8 plasma donations total. It does seem to be a fairly effective therapeutic from what I'm told. Hopefully there'll be an accessible and safe vaccine soon since a large portion of the population refuses to follow simple and proven prevention measures.

  9. Looks good. It's a bold look. Really grabbed my attention when I checked in today. Put a racing stripe and some chrome on this bad boy and everybody will know when the Train rolls into town.

  10. the green 'reply' and sign in boxes would look good in blue and be harmonious with other spots of blue going on with facebook and twitter symbols. and after looking at the new colors for a while... I am thinking a softer black and a deep red instead of orange. an unsolicited opinion from the peanut gallery, lol.

  14. No it's not Linda, it's only going to take about three days for the nicotine to get out of your system and you've already gone through a lot of those first time triggers so you'll be fine. You got this, trust yourself Just stock up on sweets and juice or water. Listen to your body and what it craves.

  19. Linda, are you using patches ? I can't remember or see what method of quitting you quit with.

  20. Smoking will NOT fix any of that...or anything else. Fight through this. You are so much better off without cigarettes.

  22. Linda, Are you Hungry, Angry (emotional), Lonesome (bored), Tired ? often these things will be a false trigger for nicotine because we used to smoke instead of dealing with many of these things. Riffing On H.A.L.T.

  23. Don't smoke, Linda. Nothing good comes from smoking. It is all bad. All you would be doing is reawakening your physical addiction to nicotine and throwing away a great start to your quit. Craves are never commands. Fight through this. You will be glad you did and your quit will be stronger for it.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
