  14. I'm glad you are doing so well in your quit. If it is going easy for you, enjoy it. Just don't overestimate the addiction. As long as you don't take another puff, you got this.

  15. Favorite are roasted. Just pop them in a 400 oven for an hour. cool slightly, skins will slither right off. Eat warm or cold. Beet and fennel salad is wonderful....cooked beets and raw fennel with a hard boiled egg, if you have one. And beet shake - a couple of ice cube sized pieces of frozen spinach, half of one of the raw beets you had diced, 10-12 dates, 1/4 cup of cocoa powder. Throw it all in blender add a cup of kombucha (if you have it) and fill the rest of the blender with whatever milky liquid you like (I use almond or coconut milk, but any kind will do). this is like a chocolate shake. Reciprocity - so glad you have come by. Yay for you and the happiness you bring. thank you.

  24. So glad to hear it's going well for you, Kate! It's nice when the triggers get fewer and farther in between. Just don't let them sneak up on you! Prepare yourself for sneak attacks. The Nicodemon is tricky. Just tell yourself that you wont light up *no matter what* and you're golden!

  31. Back to hiking the less frequently used trails. It's been over a month now since my last hike. Stepped off to the side and pulled a bandanna over my face whenever I encountered anyone along the trail. California now requires that everyone wear a mask or face cover when out in public.

  32. hello and a big thumbs up - you have now officially jumped over the fence into the non-smoker village - welcome !! think positive - reward yourself do not replace anything. you fell out of love with smoking for a reason - simple and rightly so. you do not replace evil - you just walk away from it. find a healthy habit - keep every conscious and sub conscious thought positive. i will eat healthy and have loads of fun. you are lucky that you are slim (i am almost lucky too i am not fat. i just chubby you know - so do not isuspect or assume that i am fat i mean i am not TTTTHHHHHATTTT fat, some say i am borderline, my mirrror is old you know god - make me thin again i am not crying crying - sob sob sob) lol you cannot replace an addiction. you can only start a new one. But you have the power to stop an addiction. i am proud of you for having done that. hello - i had ordered 2 burgers with extra fries and large cokes , 2 extra large pizzas with extra cheese and blah blah blah , 2 ice creams with blah blah bah, 2 milk shakes with blah blah blah, 2 jumbo cakes , blah blah blah - lol. no my dear - i just won a lottery last week playing Russian roulette. yeah my man - yes - i won my life back !!! thanks - yes - throw in some tacos too my man and some noodles and blah blah blah. lol - enjoy - never heard anyone die from over eating. GEEEEE - but then i would not know. i mean the world would know from my tragedy if that happened - NOOOOOO!!!!!! just me being silly - cheer up. remember - the more you laugh - the easier your quit. keep us posted. keep yourself proud and standing tall.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
