  7. Cognac makes a delicious Sazerac but, no strawberry or sugar cube for me. I use Herbsaint (don't want to waste any Absinthe) and just used to swirl in glass then toss. and LOTS more Peychauds. It was traditionally made with cognac now, usually with Rye. At 3:19 in the vid, you can see my best bartender, Paul, make one at Tujagues Bar (where I ran into bakon and his lovely wife).

  12. @bakon; I'd arrest them all and drug test 'em - lol. I see nothing in any of these.

  13. Hang in there as said before, you only fail when you quit trying. Stay strong and stand up for yourself if need be. Best wishes.

  14. @Doreensfree, it's like cat lover said. I use my kindle and hold it close then without blinking slowly move it away. The image should start to come into view. It may take a couple tries. I actually had to open the bunny image in another window because I couldn't tell what it was Fun fact: I have a book of these that are postcards and years ago I sent one a week to Wheel of Fortune auditions. And I got picked to go to LA for an audition. Unfortunately I didn't get picked but it was a fun experience

  16. that is rough that everyone around you smokes! They should not do it around you, at least in the beginning of your quit.Chin up. You can do this.

  17. You may find in time that being exposed to others smoking actually enforces your own quit. That's been my experience. I've gone from being indifferent to others smoking to being repulsed by the smell of cigarettes. I smell cigarette smoke now and there are no longings or romanticizing, just disbelief that I used to smoke. Stay the course. Focus on your goals. Trust the process.

  23. I don't experience cravings anymore. Let me rephrase that. I have not experienced a craving in quite some time. Same with the smoking dreams. That stuff is in the past. If I am around people who smoke there is no trigger. Just a mild annoyance. You are free from smoking when its no longer a question you bother to ask. As Sazerac says, it just takes time.

  26. It's hard because you are addicted to nicotine, not because they smoke. I admire you for not giving up. This can just as well be your forever-quit! When you are about to give in, will you SOS?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
